About Norcal Aviator

I grew up in scenic (but often frozen) Alberta, Canada. That’s where I first became interested in flying, taking a discovery flight in 1993 and a private pilot ground school at the Edmonton Flying Club. A few years and several cities later, I settled down in the San Francisco Bay Area with my wonderful wife, Jean. In 2006, acknowledging for the last time that learning to fly was not going to happen by itself, I made the decision to finally take lessons and complete the goal of getting my pilot's license (certificate). I am currently flying out of San Jose International (Mineta) airport (SJC), though I previously called the Hayward, Livermore, and Oakland airports home.
